How To Use Silicone Rubber To Make Crafts?

Silicone rubber is suitable for industries such as toys, gifts, decoration, plate engrave, resin crafts, poly crafts,unsaturated resin crafts , candle crafts, and so on.

But how  to use silicone rubber to make crafts?  Here is the operation instruction for your reference.

1.Prepare all the tools you need.
2.Cut the cardboards at proper size.
3.Fix the original mold on the flat board, and make a frame with cardboards, seal the slits with hot melt silicone.
4.Brush a layer of release agent(Vaseline)on the surface of the mold.
5.Choose the silicone rubber that depends on the structure and the size of mold, and then mix the silicone rubber with the curing agent evenly.    The proportion of the curing agent should be 2~3%.
6.Pour 1/3 mixed silicone rubber into the mold frame, and then de-air.
7.Vacuum to -0.1mpa,which can exhaust the bubbles from the silicone rubber mold, or it could leave some granules on the surface of the            products. Reduce the curing agent’s radio if you don’t have a vacuum-pump machine, which can extend the curing time to exhaust the              bubbles.
8.Pour the remained silicone rubber into the frame, and take the mold to de-air.
9.After de-airing, take the mold out.
10.Remove the surrounded cardboards after the silicone rubber is cured completely about after 3-4 hours.
11.Shave the fringe of the silicone rubber mold with scissors.
12.Peel off the silicone rubber mold, and then trim it.
13.Now you get the perfect mold, it can be used into production after 24 hours, please store it in ventilated, cool and dry place.
