Upstream investment in silicone industry expanded 

As per information of Global Silicone Network on June.28,2021: Since 2020, the global DMC and raw rubber have continued to be in shortage. The main reason behind this is that the downstream demand for traditional consumer electronics, daily chemicals, printing and dyeing, wearable smart devices, PC, automotive electronics, and industrial control has exploded. 

In the past few years, basic raw materials Insufficient expansion of production has led to an imbalance between supply and demand.

In this context, two new companies have invested heavily in silicones in Yunnan and Mongolia. The new plant in Yunnan will start DMC production in early July, and other traditional 7 monomers have also launched multi-billion investment plans for expansion.
